promote our Windsurfing courses on Fiji as "everything
in a week” so we teach you as much as you need to
get you to a certain level of windsurfing in a week or longer
if you stay for more than one week...
We
offer Beginner / Intermediate or Instructor Windsurfing
courses.

1 - Windsurfing - Learn to Windsurf |
This
will take you from complete beginner, teaching you the basics
of windsurfing using the right equipment; enabling you to
sail to where you want to go to and to sail back to where
you started from.
Windsurfing
Course Content:
Carrying and launching the board and rig separately and
coming ashore. Sailing across the wind; upwind and downwind;
power control; steering; sailing a triangular course. Basic
tacking and gybing. Theory.
Windsurfing
Ability After Course:
You
will be able to sail your windsurf to a chosen point on
the water and return to where you started from in light
winds.
Minimum
Duration: 1 Day.

2
- Windsurfing
- Improving Windsurfing Techniques |
After
Level 1, fine tuning your basic skills to make your windsurfing
faster and more fluid. New techniques such as the beachstart
and introduction to the harness. You will then be geared
up and ready for the excitement of higher winds covered
in level 3. For Level 2 you should be able to sail on all
points of sailing in light winds. (Level 1)
Windsurfing
Course Content:
Introduction to the beach start. Improved stance on all
points of sailing; basic harness technique; using the centerboard.
Improved tacking and gybing. Windsurfing Theory.
Windsurfing
Ability After Course:
Beachstart. Sail on all points of sailing in stronger winds.
Faster tacking and gybing.
Minimum
Duration: 1 Day.

3
- Windsurfing
- Introduction to Planing |
This
is where harness and footstrap techniques, combined with
improved stance will get the board planing and give you
the exhilaration of speed. Faster tacking and more dynamic
gybes complete the package. For Level 3 you should be a
Competent level 2 sailor.
Windsurfing
Course Content:
Beachstarting in a variety of conditions. Harness and line
adjustment and using the training straps; planing stance.
More advanced tacking and gybing in stronger winds. Self
rescue; towing another sailor. Theory.
Windsurfing
A bility After Course:
Be able to sail comfortably in footstraps and harness in
planing conditions.
Minimum
Duration: 1 Day.

4
- Windsurfing
- Planing Techniques |
Waterstarts
and carve gybes. The next step towards carve gybing is what
you'll be learning - carving into the turn but coming out
non-planing. Learning to tack shorter boards will keep your
options open. For Level 4 you should be able to sail comfortably
in the footstraps and harness in planing conditions. (Level
3)
Windsurfing
Course Content:
Waterstarting; tackling shorter boards; carve gybing; planing
techniques.
Ability After Course:
Improved stance and early planing; be able to tack a shortboard
and carve the board into a gybe in planing conditions.
Minimum
Duration: Delivered as a series of clinics.Level
5 - Advanced Planing Techniques
Once you've mastered the strap to strap carve gybe, more
advanced gybing such as the duck and slam gybe can be tackled.
An introduction to wave sailing, with launching and recovery,
jumping and landing - leading to the cutting edge of windsurfing.
For Level 5 you should be able to carve into a gybe but
not necessarily exit planing; can waterstart confidently.

Beachstarting in waves; clew first and light wind waterstart;
jumping and wave riding; shortboard carve gybe; slam gybe;
duck gybe; slalom gybe; tacking shorter boards; Tuning;
Advanced theory.

Ability After Course: Advanced windsurfer
Minimum
Duration: Delivered as a series of clinics
