Extreme
Sports Cafe's surfing school in Northern Spain
is fast becoming one of the most popular surf schools in
the north of Spain. The area of Spain where we are located,
Cantabria, is called The Green Spain and has breathtaking
surroundings. It has the perfect setting and conditions
for surfing.
Due
to the huge interest and demand from the public to get to
know the world of surf, Extreme Sports Cafe's surfing school
in Spain was born with the philosophy of good teaching and
good fun.
Our
surf school is run by the second generation of surfers in
Spain. They have got the added wisdom of the great Surf
pioneers in Spain such as "Meco" , "Lolis",
A.Saez, and J.Giribet. They are great masters who even today
keep surf at the highest level. They have many years of
wisdom and good experience (more than forty years in the
Cantabrian Sea!!)

The
pioneers of surfing had an important part to play in the
Ist Exposurfing celebrated in Santander, from 13th to 19th
December 2004.
At
our surf school you will get:
The
art of surf and everything you need to know about the sea
conditions, the wind, and the tides, etc.
You
will enjoy the process of learning to surf within a relaxing
atmosphere with professional surf instructors.
Health
and safety: our courses are run by professionals who make
sure that our students grasp the art of surf in a safe environment.
The
school´s many surf instructors have plenty of experience
in surfing and have teaching qualifications recognized by
the FES (Spanish Federation of Surf) and the Lifeguard Association.
We
will make sure that our students, as well as learning to
surf properly, will also get to know everything needed in
relation to the fantastic sport of surfing.
We
must highlight that we are working closely with "Meco"
who not only has a good forty years of experience, but is
also a surf legend and one of the pioneers of this sport
in Spain.
Our
"base camp" is located at "Ribamontan al
Mar" which has been home to professionals and apprentices
of surf for many years.

“posada” is a traditional cantabrian cottage
dating back to 1850. It was part of a working farm until
1996 when it was refurbished keeping on its traditional
style and converted into a rural Hotel. The rooms are clean

apartments that are of a very high standard and in a quiet
location are just 500 metres off the beach. Five minutes
away you will find a small ferry company which makes regular
sailings (a few times a day) to Santander, the capital of
Cantabria, which is on the other side of the bay.
The apartments have got all the essentials: microwave, fridge
and TV. A laundry service is also available.

Terms and Conditions for our Spanish Surf Holidays |
Please
read the following conditions carefully before booking your
holiday.
The
person that makes the reservation is responsible for the
total cost of the holiday, including all the conditions.
If
you cancel your reservation or some of your friends wish
to do so, you should bear in mind the following costs:
-
40 days before leaving your country: 100% of the total cost
of the holidays.
- Between 40 and 60 days before leaving your country: 50%
of the total cost of the holidays.
- More than 60 days before leaving your country: 20% of
the total cost of the holidays.
Extreme
Sports Cafe
is not responsible for death or injuries caused to other
people.
Our
surf school is situated on a beach by the open sea. For
this reason, it receives swells all year long. However,
there is the possibility that, in certain days, the conditions
for surfing might be poor, in that case, Extreme Sports
Cafe won´t accept any responsabilities.
Surfing
is a sport that requires certain skills to deal with the
sea, so you should be able to swim, at least 100 metres
without any help and dive a little bit.
You
should keep us informed if you have any illnesses or disability
they may be a handicap to learn surfing.
Extreme
Sports Cafe
expects you to have an appropiate behaviour towards the
environment, places and people.
The
holidays we sell don´t include airfare, but we suggest
some websites where you can find flights.
In
order to make the reservation you must make a deposit initially
and then a bank transfer for the final balance of the cost
of the holiday. Once we have received the deposit / transfer
we will send you confirmation of your reservation by email,
together with any extra information you require.
If
you book your holiday with Extreme Sports Cafe it means
you have accepted all the booking conditions.
