Extreme Sports Cafe's Swiss Snowkiting School offers professionaly trained instructors to guide you through snowkite lessons geared towards all levels from beginners to advanced.

Snowkite lessons, kite rental winter:: Middle of december - End of april

Due to safety reasons, snowkiting is best learned through a school with professional instruction (IKO center). There are many mistakes that could be made at the beginning, which could lead to a fatal incident. The Swiss Snowkiting School will take you through the basics, step by step, giving you important advice on manoevers and on safe practices for yourself and those around you.
Remember: Flying Power Kites has some things in common with paragliding and nobody should learn it by themself. With good tuition it is possible to aquire the fundamentals of snowkiting alongside safe practice. One of these fundamental elements is the wind, with practice and guidance you can learn to gage and work with this natural power.

Prices and enrolement:
We run the snowkite lessons with a maximum of 4 people per instructor.

Kite equipment is included in the price. However skis and snowboards are not included and must be brought by the participants.

Snowboards can be rented in our kite center. (50CHF / 35€ per day)

If you buy a kite after a rental, the rental price is taken off the kite price.

The kites which we use for teaching snowkiting in some of our locations are Frenzy '05 made by Ozone. These kites are extraordinary because they offer such high performance on the snow. The third generation of their design means that they have been perfected to give you many more features and enhanced control and safety whilst snowkiting.

The Frenzy '05 is the top of the range from Ozone traction kites. These kites are 4 line kites and come with control bar security system, brake and trimmer.

We suggest that if you have your own board for skiing or snowboarding then bring that. You will be used to it and that will help with the learning process when you start snowkiting. However, if you don't have your own we have plenty for you to choose from and will lend you one gladly.

The base of the Swiss Snowkiting School is on the Simplon Pass (Matterhornstate) in Switzerland. There is also our kite shop und the kite test center. Here in the middle of the Swiss Alps you find perfect conditions to learn snowkiting.
