Extreme Sports Cafe uses only new Kitesurfing equipment and IKO (International Kite Organisation) qualified kitesurf instructors in our kitesurfing school. We also use BPA and USPA rated instructors in all of our skydiving centers. Again for our climbing trips and Wind Surfing tuition we use international level instructors and guides. Thus we ensure the highest level of instruction in a safe environment.

Beside surfing, sailing, parasailing, water-skiing, jet skiing, kitesurfing and diving, Empuriabrava has its own airport where a private aircraft can be flown directly from.

Furthermore it offers a flying school and a parachute center where training courses and tandem skydives can be booked at any time - online.

Where you see by any course or experience you can book and confirm your tandem skydive, or kitesurfing course, or climbing trip, or paramotoring / paragliding flights there and then and expect one of our staff to contact you within 24 hours to help with any other aspects of your trip which you may need assistance with. We don't just offer this service in Spain, but in the UK, Thailand most of Asia and the US.

Tennis, riding and golf are also naturally offered and are very popular. The countryside around Empuriabrava is very varied and is perfect for walking and exploring. There are countless romantic villages, cathedrals, rivers, lakes and pine forests, which have helped to inspire so many painters. Dali, Picasso, Miro are just a few of the most famous who warrant a mention. Therefore, it is worth a visit to some of the many beautiful museums.

The unique area close to the Pyrenees and Barcelona makes it impossible to be bored even on a cloudy day. A state of the art bowling hall, a water park, a fitness centre and health farm as well as a butterfly park are some of the free time activities.

We can also help you arrange exclusive accommodation in local villas and houses at great rates for individuals as well as families, or groups of friends who want to share.

For example..

Our favourite house is located in the centre of Empuriabrava, in a quiet, lush, exclusive residential area. Everything is, however, easily accessible over three bridges (10 mins), the shopping zone, beach and harbour.

The house consists of 4 apartments, with a beautifully spacious garden, a big swimming pool, barbecue area, and a lawn with sun beds.

4-room apartment for up to 4 persons, approx 70 square meters.
1 sittingroom, 2 bedrooms with double bed, diningroom, kitchen, bath/toilet, Sat & TV.
Each apartment is tastefully decorated and has direct access to the garden with swimming-pool.
We provide lockable parking places, two terraces, rest-cure meadows and a large grill for barbecues in the garden.

The apartment block is quietly located, although it is not far from the main shopping street with its boutiques, bars and restaurants. Within the building itself you can find our restaurant "Oasis", which for many years has been enjoyed by skydivers, kitesurfers and people on holiday in this magical town by the sea.

Extreme Sports Cafe's kitesurfing school in Empuriabrava is open from Easter until October each year. We start running courses on the 1st April each year (no joke!). We use only new boards and kites and IKO (International Kite Organisation) qualified kitesurfing instructors in our school.

Our Drop Zone is open year round and we even skydive on New Years Day and Christmas day! How about a Tandem skydive to celebrate the New Year, or a skydiving course for Christmass!!

We've been getting people into Kitesurfing and Skydiving and Paragliding and all manner of exciting new extreme sports for over 10 years now. Our kitesurf center is located in Empuriabrava in the Bay of Roses, 130 kilometers north of Barcelona and close to the French border, as is our Drop Zone.

By Car

By Train

Take the train to Figueres station, there you can either take the bus to Empuriabrava (from the bus station next to the train), or you can take a taxi (20€)

By Air

By air you can fly to Barcelona, Girona or Perpignan (France). The companies Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and even British Airways (If you really want to use an overpriced, low service quality airline!) all offer flights at discount prices and Sarfa buses run between airports and Empuriabrava.
