sea kayaking thailandSea Kayaking Thailand - Enjoy the land of smiles from your own kayak..

Come and experience the natural wildlife and stunning beauty of Southern Thailand from a kayak, which makes it unforgettable.

Experience is certainly not necessary for most of our sea kayaking trips, we train beginners and novices during the sea kayaking trips and gear our trips accordingly. Most of our guests have never paddled before. Sea kayaking is an ever-growing and rewarding recreational activity. Nothing beats sneaking up on wildlife from the convenience of a kayak. You will have experiences in a kayak that paddle asiayou simply can’t by any other means.

Some sea kayaking trips are easier than others. Our Khao Sok National Park sea kaykaing trip is very easy. We spend a lot of time just sitting in our kayaks watching monkeys and birds.

Our Phang Nga Bay sea kayaking trip is another easy trip and is for just about everyone. You'll have to paddle through a few stretches, but all in all, it's very easy. All paddling is short and easy in protected waters. We usually paddle about 3 to 5 hours each day. This is flexible. Our support truck meets us at the end of every day. We'll have electricity, toilets, and a restaurant after a day's paddling.

The Holiday - Trang Province - Tropical islands tour, no mass tourism 4/6-day trips.

Level: Easy to moderate, depending on the season.

Season: November – mid April easy. Mid April - October experienced paddlers only.

sea kayaker sea kayaking in caveAnother multi-day destination, just south of Krabi, is Trang province, where we have kayaking tours from one island to another. Relax in comfortable bungalows set in garden environments. This is soft adventure far from the crowds. Most westerners do not visit many of these islands, and they remain undeveloped (unspoilt) tourist destination. Due to the beauty of the islands, especially the limestone karst cliffs and headlands, and their near proximity to one another, these crossings are appropriate for active novices. As each crossing is no more than six nautical miles, they are appropriate for daytime paddling.
Sample Itinerary – 6-day trip

Sea Kayaking Trang Province Day 1

We’ll transfer you to Ko Lanta Yai and check into our bungalows. Ko Lanta has been on the tourist maps for quite some time, though it has retained its charm.
Our first paddle is around Ko Lapu Le. This is a lovely island with gigantic limestone karst cliffs, small-secluded beaches and interesting foliage. There are caves and rock gardens to explore as well.
After circumnavigating the island, we’ll head back to the bungalows.

Sea Kayaking Trang Province Day 2

We’ll paddle around Ko Talabeng. This island is similar to Ko Lapu le, but different enough to warrant exploring. Time and tide permitting, we’ll paddle in a long mangrove channel on Ko Lanta Yai. Thailand has 74 species of mangrove. Mangrove is vital to the sea’s survival.

Sea Kayaking Trang Province Day 3

house for people sea kayaking to stay inWe’ll pack up after breakfast and head south. Our destination is the last beach on the west coast of Ko Lanta Yai.
From there, we’ll paddle around the southern point of the island. There’s a small park on the point with loads of Crab-eating Macaque monkeys. Then, we paddle up the east side of the island and head to Old Lanta Town, and have walk around this charming small town. We’ll have lunch at a restaurant on stilts, with outstanding food. After lunch, we’ll paddle out to Ko Bubu. Once we arrive, we’ll check into our bungalows. The afternoon will be spent paddling around the island.

Sea Kayaking Trang Province Day 4

sea kaying cave and beachAfter breakfast, we’ll paddle back to Ko Lanta Yai. Boarding our bus, we’ll head to Pakmeng Beach. We then, head down to a tidal river, which is the launch site for Ko Muk.
We’ll paddle out to Ko Muk. This usually takes around two hours. The west coast of Ko Muk is one of the nicest in all of Southern Thailand.
There’s a small beach on this side of the island. Further around, there’s a cave that leads to a hidden lagoon. Unfortunately, this special place has become a mass tourism Mecca. Every day, hundreds of tourists swim through the cave. Our goal is to arrive at this most popular site in Trang province after the last tour boat has left. After multiple 'eye-gasms', we'll start paddling back to the bungalows. It'll likely be dark by the time we arrive. Paddling at night is very rewarding. Plus, there's always the bioluminescent plankton that lights up with every sweep of the paddle. We spend the night on the island.

Sea Kayaking Trang Province Day 5

Boarding our bus, we’ll travel to Haad Chao Mai. A motorboat will take us out to Ko Libong. Strong paddlers have the option of paddling out to Ko Libong. It’s a five nautical mile trip.
After lunch, we’ll paddle around the west side of the island all the way to the sea grass area. If the tide is right, we may see the Dugongs. They surface every five minutes or less. They’re fairly easy to see, though sightings are brief.

Sea Kayaking Trang Province Day 6

We’ll spend the day circumnavigating the island. There’s plenty to explore. The eastern half of the island is covered with mangrove. There are many tidal river channels to explore too.
In the afternoon, we’ll head back to the mainland and transfer you to wherever you need to go.

Note: Our four-day Trang itinerary doesn’t include days 5 or 6.

Important notes for our Sea Kayaking progams.

Naturally we respect Thai and Lao cultural values. Remember, we will be going to areas that see few Western tourists. This means scantily dressed Westerners can easily offend the local people. It is particularly important that women realize in Muslim areas, it is very important not to appear in bikinis or other clothing that people of more traditional cultures would consider provocative or offensive. In other words, you won't be able to wear your bikini around the fishing villages. A pair of shorts and a shirt will do. Once on the water, you can do as you please
