Welcome to the newest and most exciting flying sport; Motorized Paragliding! Motorized Paragliding, also know as Paramotoring, is by far the least expensive, and the easiest to learn form of powered flight. You can now learn this with Extreme Sports Café in New South Wales, Australia.
Extreme Sports Café has teamed up with well know Paramotoring school in Australia. Their reputation worldwide and nationally of teaching students to a high level is contributed to these factors. We believe in using only the latest, newest and proven training equipment for our training courses, along with small class sizes for the comfort of course participants and ease of learning.
Our training sites are the best in the country, our school has the best safety record in the country, we don't experiment with your learning experience using apprentice instructors, and we operate all year round offering a 12-month service not a seasonal service. We are the only place where you can learn all aspects of the sport. On most weekends (year round) we run continuous follow up training after your course at No extra cost. Our goal is to make your Paramotor course or flight a Holiday learning experience to be remembered.
Located on the dynamic and pristine Holiday coast of NSW, only 20 minutes south of Port Macquarie and just 31⁄2 hours drive north of Sydney. The North Coast was voted best all year round climate in Australia by government researchers, the CSIRO!
You can travel easily to our area by plane, train or bus, we are located in a major tourist destination not miles from anywhere.
With all our training courses we complete the license requirements set by the HGFA and Civil Aviation Authority's recognised standards and more! The Hang Gliding Federation of Australia endorses our training program. We teach by a method not found in other locations as we have training sites that are on the coast in smooth uninterrupted air.

Beginner Paramotor $2700Aus

If you are a complete beginner then this Paramotor course is the one for you. You get the Paragliding license, 20hrs of solo flying (needed to take the Paramotor Endorsement) and the 2-3 day Paramotor Endorsement course. This usually takes around 14 full days to complete.
Includes all equipment, transport, accommodation, theory classes and exam for endorsement.

Paramotoring Endorsement Course 2 -3 Days $490Aus

To receive a Paramotor license here in Australia with the HGFA, you first need a Paragliding license and have a minimum of 20 hours solo Airtime before being endorsed.

The 20-hour requirement can be reduced to 10 hours if you have previous aviation experience with a license or had a license in other forms of aviation. No insurance is covered in damage to yourself or hired equipment. You will be required to cover any damages to equipment due to negligence.
Includes all equipment, transport, accommodation, theory classes and exam for endorsement. You Just Run & Fly!

Under Civil Aviation Laws of Australia it is law that you have a recognized pilot certificate by a certified school. It is a Federal Offence to fly unlicensed.

Two Full Days of Paragliding Action!
Practical starts day one with placing you in our classroom simulator in which you are shown the basics of ground and in flight manoeuvres/controls. Then onto controlling the paraglider close to the ground. Expect bunny hops from a gentle slope. In the afternoon or the following day we go to a suitable site for the first major solo flights, normally from 50 - 500 feet sites depending on personal progress.
This course can be deducted from a full license course. It also covers the first 2 days of our normal License courses.
It’s a great introductory to Paragliding and gives the new Pilot a great insight into the sport. Third-Party Insurance Included and New High Adventure DVD.

$395 Course Only / $425 with Accommodation (1 night)

If you have three or more in your group, you can book this introductory paragliding course ANY weekend. If coming individually, this 2-day course starts with any of our weeklong courses.

Get to do solo flights!
This course takes in the first 4 days of the International requirements and gets you to a stage in which you will do flights from up to 1500 feet solo!
Budget and moderate accommodation can be arranged if you require it. This 4-Day course can be done during any of the normal 7 to 9 day course dates or select you own 4 days (please contact us to arrange unscheduled days)!

HGFA and International Certificate Course

Comes with Unlimited days of paragliding training.
until you reach the License standard!
Do this course on weekends or in a Block time frame. This is the HGFA license program covering, ground and high flight basics from 500 - 1500 feet, Mountain or Soaring on the Coast! We teach by an accelerated learning process by using tandem instruction on the first day or two as found similar in Parachuting. This is the only course in Australia, which consolidates both Inland and Coastal Skills! It’s important to learn both skills, as winds are generally stronger on the coast. We are the only place where you can do BOTH in a week. This course takes you to a level beyond that of the Club Pilot.
On average most people reach the certificate standard in just over 8 days.
No extra charges if you need more days to complete to the license standard!

Live-in International Rating Course

This course is aimed at the serious pilot wanting the most out of a course!
14-Day Package course with Glider and accessories!
The HGFA Novice License and IPP Course! This course is for persons wanting the certificate that allows you to fly without instructor supervision plus obtain the International Pilot Proficiency card enabling you to fly worldwide! This is a comprehensive course covering all the requirements to achieve certificate level plus we add more to give you the best skills available to enter the sport. We teach Coastal, Mountain and Inland thermal soaring skills, separate skills are needed for all these.
This extensive course offers little pressure on deadlines and takes you to a higher level outside the certificate requirements. With our selection of over 15 flying sites from our small top landing beach sites to 2000 feet high mountains, we offer the full spectrum of the sport No other location can be found anywhere in the country like ours!
Includes HGFA Insurance membership fee of $99!

$6499 includes Accommodation, New Glider, New Harness and Helmet!
Cabin accommodation including bedding & continental brekkie. With the 14-day course it is a 9-day course block and then to qualify for the remaining 5 days of training it has to be completed on your own wing be it new or second hand.

The Glider package includes your choice of either the Sky Fides or the new UP Kuna plus either the new Revel harness from Sky or the new UP Pamir harness and Latest Iguana carbon fibre helmet from Icaro!
Learning to Paraglide is not all hands on; some days are utilized doing theory classes when weather is unsuitable for practical training and most mornings theory is done prior to practical days as we need to complete a 40 page work book with all our courses set by the Hang-gliding Federation of Australia.

Your instructor will take you through each step of this workbook in great detail and will ensure you understand all the theoretical requirements. Do not be alarmed by the theory component, no one has ever failed including dyslexic pilots!
As our class sizes are no greater than six persons at a time, each student pilot gets his or her personal, near new flight gear to be used for the duration of your course. You are suited appropriately to your gear depending on your weight and height and will be familiar with all your gear by day two.
