Bali is an Indonesian island located in the western most
of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west
(the most highly populated and influential of all the islands,)
and Lombok to the east. (One of the quieter and moderately
slower paced islands) Bali is a small island, just 140 Km
by 80 Km. It is one of the country's 33 provinces with the
provincial capital at Denpasar towards the south of the
island. Bali has developed a world of its own, It not only
captures what is special about Indonesia but also has a
uniqueness of its own.
The island of Bali is located in the tropics, just about
6º South of the equator. Blessed with warm temperatures,
where the variation is very small throughout the year, with
sunrises at 6 am in the morning and sunsets at 6 pm.

Extreme Sports Café’s new partner Bali Paragliding
School also offers Paragliding Discovery Tours in Bali,
Java and Lombok that range from one to three weeks and including
spectacular locations like the Kintamani, Bromo and Rinjani
volcanoes.
The Paragliding School is well established and has been
operating in Bali for over 14 years bringing the excitement
of free flight to those seeking adventure. The Bali Paragliding
Training Centre is located above the beautiful blue waters
of the Indian Ocean on the beach and offers a very comfortable
and safe environment to learn to fly in. The Bali Paragliding
training centre was also one of the Paragliding pioneers
in Indonesia. The professional and highly skilled Instructor
has more than 17 years experience in flight and piloting,
including Paragliders, Hang Gliders and Ultra light motorized
aircraft. His years of experience combined with his in-depth
knowledge of local conditions make learning to fly with
here a safe and pleasurable experience.
Indonesia
has a tropical climate. There is no Autumn 
or
Winter but distinctive "Dry" and "Wet"
seasons share the year. The transitional period between
these two seasons is interspersed by the occasional heavy
rain shower, but even in the midst of the West Monsoon season,
temperatures range from 21 degrees to 33 degrees C except
at higher altitudes, which can be much cooler.
The East Monsoon: June to September, brings dry weather.
The humidity is low, and it can be quite cool in the evenings.
During this time of the year, you'll have hardly any rain
in the coastal areas.
The West Monsoon: December to March the Wet weather. There
are heavy showers and high humidity, but usually days are
sunny and the rains start during the night and pass quickly.

Learning
to fly is quite enjoyable; given you make sure that you
learn with a professional instructor. Trying to learn to
fly a paraglider on your own is not something you should
try to do. In just a few short days, you will go from controlling
the canopy, to actually flying up in the sky! It is really
quite an exhilarating experience and one we recommend to
everyone!
The Paragliding license is issued by the Indonesian Federation
and is recognized by FAI Federation Aeronautique International
(world wide)
All Courses are roughly 4-5 hours of instruction
per day.
Weight restriction minimum of 45 kg weight and maximum of
120kg.
Paragliding is a weather dependent sport therefore Paragliding
Flights will/can only be done if the weather conditions
are right for paragliding. (Wind direction, intensity)

5-Days
Paragliding Improvement $500 US
You need to have completed a Beginner paragliding course
to attend this course or have a PG1 license or equivalent.
This
Paragliding course is intended to teach you how to be a
safe and confident pilot. Instruction and practice will
prepare you to decide how and when to fly your paraglider
without the direct supervision of your instructor.
Level 1 - 2 Thermal and cross-country flights.
To gain the Intermediate license students need to have a
minimum of 50 hours logging.
Improvement

Beginner Course:
In the Beginner Paragliding courses, you will learn the
importance of ground control. This means learning to control
the canopy as it floats over you while you remain on the
ground. Ground handling is the most difficult aspect of
learning to Paraglide and the most valuable training experience
for beginners. The experience you gain from ground control
has a very definite impact on actually flying. Mastering
ground control makes the actual flying part easy!
You will also learn about the Paragliding equipment &
it’s use, safety regulations, "rules of the ridge"
and an overall outline of flight dynamics. The use of a
safe and easy to control paraglider is included as a part
of your training course. You are certain to have an unforgettable
experience as you begin your flying career with us here
in Bali.
Advanced
Courses:
In the Advanced Paragliding Courses you will become a self-sufficient
pilot. You will learn micrometeorology as it relates to
local weather conditions. You will also learn how to fully
control your glider and handle any situation that may occur
while you are in the air. You will become proficient with
safety manoeuvres such as big ears , wingovers, surge control,
speeds to fly and reverse inflations.
We will take you to a variety of flying sites with different
flying conditions for a well-rounded education in flight
dynamics. You will also learn about thermal flying and much,
much more…
Unlike
a regular round parachute, a paraglider is a simple wing
in every sense and is designed using the same aerodynamic
principles as a conventional aircraft. Paragliding is easy
and safe to learn and requires no power source unlike other
conventional aircraft.
Paragliding is flight in its simplest form. Like an eagle,
you too can soar high above the earth using only the winds
as a source of power.
You can literally stay in the air for hours soaring like
an eagle until you decide you've had enough!
The ability to climb to substantial heights and travel great
distances depends upon the individual pilot's skill in using
upward flowing air streams in exactly the same way as a
soaring eagle, or albatross would do. Perhaps you have seen
a bird just floating for what seems like an eternity up
in the sky? Well, basically, a paraglider can do the same
thing given the right wind conditions.

Bali Island is a shopper's paradise particularly for casual
and tailored clothing, locally made jewellery, handicrafts,
antiques and artefacts. All at unbelievable prices, leather
ware is one of the unexpected local bargains with everything
from handbags through to tailor made leather jackets and
coats. In fact, prices are so inexpensive; you're sure to
have to pick up an extra suitcase! Try bargaining at the
street markets of Kuta, Sanur of Nusa Dua.
• The unit of currency is Indonesia Rupiah indicated
as IDR. Foreign currency can be converted at banks and moneychangers.
• Today there is an increasing number of direct flight
connections between Bali and many European, Australian and
Asian cites. As well as Los Angeles and Honolulu.
• Don't look for "Bali" in airline timetables.
It's listed as Denpasar. (DPS) This is the name of the island's
capital. However, from Bali's international Ngurah Rai Airport
it takes you just 15 to 30 minutes by car to Kuta, Legian,
Sanur and Nusa Dua, and in about 50 to 60 minutes you can
be in Ubud.
• All visitors travelling to Indonesia must be in
possession of a passport valid for at least six months from
the date of arrival and have proof of onward passage.
• Visas are not required for nationals of following
11 countries and territories: Brunei Darussalam, Chile,
Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, the Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Citizens of the above countries
will be issued on arrival a stay permit for 30 days free
of charge upon presentation of passport, which is valid
at least for another 6 months.
• Visa On Arrival is available for nationals of the
following countries: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria,
Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France,

7-day visa costs roughly US$10 and a 30-day visa costs roughly
US$25.

secure payment gateway.
COURSES
• A 2nd Deposit Payment of 15% is then required by
the center within 1 week of booking and final balance is
required 1 week prior to course date.
• Or you can pay the remaining balance in total to
the center within 1 week of booking.
TANDEMS
• Balance of Payment for Tandems can be made on the
day at the centre in cash US$ or Euro.

Health
for Paragliding..
In any case, if you suffer from heart problems or epilepsy
or any other medical condition, which may cause difficulty
you should certainly consult your doctor first.
Expect to be asked about health matters before you sign
on at our paragliding training school. Piloting and drugs
do not mix. Your instructor will not let you fly if you
have consumed alcohol that day, or if they suspect that
you have taken drugs.
