Extreme Sports Cafe Kitesurfing Vietnam... Located on the coast of South Central Vietnam, Mui Ne has long been considered the "Hawaii "of Vietnam. Featuring sweeping sand dunes and beautiful rows of palm trees. The beaches are shallow and sloped, the water is clean and blue and the sun rarely hides behind clouds. Vietnam’s Mui Ne Bay is fast becoming South-East Asia’s Mecca for kiteboarding.

The Mui Ne Bay with its beautiful sandy beaches benefits from a microclimate so unique it has warm seas, good winds and sunshine through out the whole year. This unique weather makes Vietnam a perfect place to discover Kitesurfing. Extreme Sports Café has teamed up with a Kitesurfing School in Vietnam to offer kitesurfing for all levels of riders.

Extreme Sports Café’s Vietnam Kitesurfing School’s lessons take place in the Bay of Mui Ne, only 200 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. (Saigon) Located in the Binh Thuan Province and commonly referred to as Mui Ne Bay, it is also known as Bay of Phan Thiet. (Phan Thiet is the provincial capital) The Mui Ne Bay offers good wind conditions; it has Asia’s strongest and most consistent cross-onshore winds and the lowest rainfall in Vietnam. (About 30 days in the year)

Vietnam has two wind seasons, The North East monsoon and the Southwest season.

The North East monsoon season starts around November and runs until April. The windiest months are December through February. The wind is a consistent 20-25 knots, with some days up to 40knots. As the wind increases so do the waves. There is a one-meter beach break to practice your surfing skills.

The Southwest summer wind blows from May to October and has consistent winds of 12-18 knots, with some days going up to 25knots. During the summer months there is also ground swell of up to two meters.

Extreme Sports Café’s Vietnam Kitesurfing School uses only IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) Certified Instructor to teach kitesurfing. For the coming season our Vietnamese kitesurfing School is working on becoming a certified IKO water sports centre in order to gain recognition for the high standards and quality that is used for teaching kitesurfing.

Kitesurfing Courses in Vietnam

Extreme Sports Café’s new Vietnam Kitesurfing School has developed a kitesurfing lesson plan designed to get you up and running quickly and safely. All of our kitesurfing lesson plans are approved by IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization)

5-hours Kitesurfing Package $190US

This 5hour kitesurfing tuition package aims to get you to being an independent kitesurfer as quick as possible in the safest way.

Kitesurfing course content will include:
• Basic kite flying using two and four lines kites
• Kitesurfing equipment set-up and safety procedures
• Different bodydraging exercises

By the end of this 5-hour Kitesurfing course we’ll try to get you up on the board for your first ride.

10-hours Kitesurfing Package $350US

This kitesurfing course is 10-hours of kitesurfing tuition and includes everything you learned in the 5-hour package and more.

Kitesurfing course content will include:
• Water start
• Practice longer rides
• Change direction
• Staying up-wind

This is a 10-hour comprehensive kitesurfing course and is the best start to become a real kitesurfer!

2-Hour Discover kitesurfing $80US

This is a 2-hour kitesurfing course and is a great introduction to the sport of Kitesurfing, and also lets you see if kitesurfing is the sport for you.

1-Hour Kitesurfing Refresher Course $50US

This is a 1-hour Kitesurfing Refresher Course. If you’ve had a break for kitesurfing this is the best way to re-familiarise yourself with the sport again and brush up on your kitesurfing skills.

Wind conditions for Kitesurfing in Vietnam

Important notes for Kitesurfing Vietnam with Extreme Sports Cafe.

Extreme Sports Café’s Vietnam Kitesurfing School has an international kitesurfing team. Kitesurfing lessons can be conducted not only in Vietnamese or in English, but also in Russian, German, French, Dutch, Italian or Spanish. All of our Kitesurfing instructors are friendly patient and IKO Certified. During high season, form October till March, Extreme Sports Café’s Vietnam Kitesurfing School has more than 15 International Instructors. During low season, we have 5 Instructors who are available all year round.

All extreme sports cafe kitesurfing courses in the caribbean follow the IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) assessment system. Our instructors are IKO qualified and at the end of each course students will receive an IKO card with their achieved level. All the necessary equipment is provided for students (excluding food and drinks) and the courses last between 4 and 5 hours per day depending on the wind conditions. Students are advised to wear a hat and apply sun-cream as they will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Students must be 16 years or older, although we can teach children under 16 with their parent’s permission and presence.
