Join Extreme Sports Cafe and our team and learn to Kite surf on the Costa De Luz, Andalucia at our new Kitesurf Tarifa Kitesurfing school in Spain. Extreme Sports Cafe uses only new Kitesurfing equipment and IKO (International Kite Organisation) qualified kitesurf instructors in our school, thus ensuring the highest level of instruction in a safe environment.
In
true Spanish style Tarifa brings out its best once the sun sets.
There is no shortage of bars, restaurants pubs and clubs which
will rock you till the sun rises again.. and beyond. Your only
concern will be if to take advantage of all Tarifa has to offer
at night or opt for a more healthy life style. Just 11 km across the Straits of Gibraltar at its narrowest point, this southern-most tip of Europe where the Med meets the Atlantic Ocean, enjoys spectacular views of the Rif mountains of Africa across the water. The Costa De Luz’s wild coastline attracts surfers and nature-lovers alike. Just as famous for its bird watching as it’s surfing, there are endless opportunities to explore the rolling countryside. During the summer months, the thriving coastal nightlife makes it a terrific way to spend the evening after a hard day at the beach!
We provide a nice simple house with 3 bedrooms, huge garden, equipment shed, shared bathroom, kitchen, living room, it’s simple clean and tidy. We are only a 20-minute drive from Cadiz. If you prefer a villa we can help arrange this too.
All of our kitesurfing instruction and teachers follow the recommendations of the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) and VDWS (Federation of German Watersports). We cover all safety systems, technical information and teach in safe locations. We aim to give you the greatest possible success in learning to kitesurf with a maximum Fun factor!
All courses include.. All kite material, Neoprene suit, Wave-riding lessons. If there is a no wind day then you get to try wave riding with instruction instead of Kite instruction. Kitesurfing courses of 2 days or more are highly recommended for those wanting to reach a good level of kitesurfing competence. Courses can be booked online with a 10% deposit by following the Book Online links. The balance can be paid upon arrival at our school. All gear for students is provided.

We've been getting people into Kitesurfing and Skydiving and Paragliding and all manner of exciting new extreme sports in Spain for over 10 years now. So you know we'll get you started in your new extreme sport, or continue your ongoing education, or simply provide you with great kitesurf advice and reliable kitesurfing gear.

All courses follow the IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) assessment system. Our instructors are IKO qualified and at the end of each course students will receive an IKO card with their achieved level. All the necessary equipment is provided for students (excluding food and drinks) and the courses last between 4 and 5 hours per day depending on the wind conditions. Students are advised to wear a hat and apply sun-cream as they will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Students must be 16 years or older, although we can teach children under 16 with their parent’s permission and presence. |

areas as a true surfers paradise. The expansive golden beaches
to the north of the town (Playa de los Lances and Playa Valdevaqueros)
are ideal for these sports. We are situated in the area of lightest
precipitation in Spain! Our school in Andalucia operates March
till October.
Tarifa
is famous for two prevailing winds that blow through the Straits
of Gibraltar. The Levante from the southeast is most common
in Summer when it can blow for weeks, day and night. It is generally
stronger, warmer and produces flatter conditions. The westerly
Poniente comes in from the Atlantic is cooler and can bring
waves. The mountainous terrain and other elements such as the
temperature difference between the Atlantic and Mediterranean,
high and low pressure, are the cause of winds in Tarifa. As
well there is a thermal effect that usually means the wind is
strongest in the afternoon. Ideal for party animals.
Due
to the enormous possibilities, that the Costa de la Luz offers,
it would be a shame to be bound to only one location. Although
we base some of our activities in Tarifa, we also move around
to the best coastal spots in Andalucia on the Costa De Luz.
With our experienced and well-informed kite teachers we know
where to go to get away from over crowded beaches and find the
best spots for kiting for the day. Not only do we take you to
the best kite spots but we also know where all the best local
places to eat are. 
If
you are an experienced kitesurfer and have your own equipment
and would like to surf at the best locations then this is the
service for you. We pick you up in the morning from your accommodation
and depending on the conditions shuttle you in our mini bus
to the best place for the day. You will be with other Kitesurfers
and an experienced kite teacher and then at the end of surfing
we take you back to your accommodation.
Ten
kilometres of white sandy beaches, unspoilt countryside and
some of the best kitesurfing conditions in Europe have established
Tarifa and the surrounding areas as a true surfers paradise.

You
will have noticed that Tarifa is as far as you can get in Europe,
and although the roads have improved in the past years, it is
still a very long drive. Something to consider when your time
is limited and would rather spend as much time as possible on
the beach.
