beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a dozen enchanted holiday islands.
Add a sunny climate, a background rhythm of Polynesian culture and
a passion for outstanding food, wine, shopping, water-sports - you’re
beginning to get the picture of Auckland. Auckland’s blend
of islands, Polynesian culture, beautiful beaches, glistening harbours
and modern city environment creates an unbelievable lifestyle ranked
amongst the best in the world. Extreme Sports Café’s
has a new Kitesurfing School based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Our New Zealand Kitesurfing School is a recognised IKO school and
all our instructors are fully qualified and experienced,(IKO and/or
BKSA) so you can be assured you'll get the best advice and training

In
the case of no wind situations, we have plenty of other activities
to keep us busy on the beach and water. We will cover any theory
and safety components of a course in low wind conditions and we
always have a race tuned Thundercat standing by should we want to
practice any wakeboarding, skurfing or just go for a blast!
If we are unable to cover any components of the course due to lack
of wind then our school will reschedule the course with yourselves
for another convenient time to complete any outstanding components.
| Safety
and Kitesurfing with Extreme Sports Cafe in New Zealand. |
Kitesurfing
is one of the newest members of the family of extreme sports and
therefore carries certain risks. Our primary concern at Extreme
Sports Cafe is your safety when kitesurfing, or learning to kitesurf,
and we ensure your learning experience is a safe one by teaching
to the IKO standards. This means that we only use IKO professional
Kiteboard Instructors and use all the safety equipment recommended
by the IKO, namely:
•
Safety boat cover – A race tuned ThunderCat is used for this
purpose, with a top speed of over 80kmph, you’ll always be
assured of a quick pick up – this is a buzz in itself!
• Kites with effective safety systems
• Helmets
• Knee and elbow pads for land based activities
• Buoyancy Aids
Courses
with Extreme Sports Cafe are the complete deal from providing your
kit, to re-booking if the wind's no good and of course that all
important insurance cover. Tuition is usually based around the local
tides to ensure you have shallow flat water to learn in.
A fixed price is charged for the Introduction to Kiteboarding and
IKO courses are charged on an hourly basis as progression will depend
