Kite Surfing Pattaya, Thailand

All kitesurfing courses follow the IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) assessment system. Our kitesurfing instructors are IKO qualified and at the end of each course students will receive an IKO card with their achieved level. All the necessary kitesurfing equipment is provided for students (excluding food and drinks) and the courses last between 4 and 5 hours per day depending on the wind conditions. Students are advised to wear a hat and apply sun-cream as they will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Students must be 16 years or older, although we can teach children under 16 with their parent’s permission and presence.

We are now also offering training courses for Kite surfing and Windsurfing in Pattaya / Jomtien, Thailand.

Our water sport club is located close to Pattaya, a fantastic city in Thailand. Here you can take a Kitesurfing or Windsurfing course regardless of whether you have the equipment or not. Our kitesurfing school provides all the necessary learning equipment for our students.

There’s no need to bring your own windsurfing or kitesurfing gear because no matter what level you're at, you will surely find equipment to suit your skill at our Rental Shop.

When your kitesurfing skills improve, the wind conditions change, or if you just want to go rip it up with some new gear, our Surf Shop can provide a wide range of Kite Surfing and Windsurfing brand names for you to choose from.

The great thing about our kitesurfing and windsurfing school is that it is away from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya, and that all your familly and your friends can relax in the beautiful surroundings of Jomtien beach. We also have world class hotels as well as more cost effective local accommodation right next to this combined kitesurfing and windsurfing school.

We have a full bar which offers soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and a great menu of food; both Western and Thai. So after a hard day of kitesurfing, or windsurfing you can come back and have a cool beer, and a sandwhich. You can also get s hower and wash your kit down in our Palm tree lined enclave dedicated to kitesurfing and windsurfing.

Our school also offers Hobie catamarans as well as kitesurfing / windsurfing. Hey and if you don't want to do anything you can just lie on the beach and watch everyone else. Or why not stretch out in one of our deck chairs on Jomtien beach.

Just outside Pattaya we offer Kite surfing, Wind surfing and equipment rental for both disciplines and for all skill levels. The winds in this area pick up in October, November and December and this is a great time to learn, or practice with stronger winds without the risk of gusting which can cause less experienced people problems sometimes.

We offer two different resort hotels right next door to the center in Jomtien. Right next door means you can roll out of your bed and down the beach to our center. Here have a beautiful palm tree lined area for storage and kit maintenance as well as a relaxing bar that you can chill out at at any time during the day. Our kitesurfing courses take place in beautiful and safe locations. Safe and scenic location for you to learn to kitesurf in. Our beach bar offers food drinks and relaxation areas. All kitesurfing and associated safety systems are covered. The emphasis is on technical information and safety. At the end of the first day you should be able to have safe kite control in the air and on the ground.

Extreme Sports Cafe offer both advanced and intermediate coaching for kitesurfers and windsurfers at our location on the beautiful beaches just outside Pattaya.

DAY 1 - KITESURFING DISCOVERY

Students are shown how to set up a kite & learn about what size they should use for different conditions.

They will then learn basic kite control and learn safety protocols for launching, landing, emergency landing and self rescue.

All safety systems are covered. The emphasis is on technical information and safety. At the end of this day the student should have safe kite control in the air and on the ground.

DAY 2 : BODY DRAG TECHNIQUE

(Student has been through day 1.)

We will learn to perform a body drag on the beach with and without harness, steering the kite with one hand, and feeling the kite position without looking at it all the time.

We will then do all the skills learnt yesterday, but in the water.

At the end of the lessons, students can watch a kite surfing instructional video.

FULL 4-DAY KITESURFING COURSE

The students will learn to move in the water from one point to another point by using the pull of the kite.

They will learn how to prepare to start with the board, how to water start and taking the board in different directions.

They then learn how to go from one point to another on the board.

We can use a video recorder to review progress and correct mistakes for that if necessary, or desired.

OPTIONAL EXTRA KITESURFING DAY
This course will help you progress further from the level you have already reached.

For example : going upwind, jibes, jumps and transitions.

PRIVATE KITESURFING LESSONS
To improve your actual level or just get some tips ask for private session.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
You must be able to swim and be comfortable in the water.

REFUNDS
In case of adverse weather conditions, we will change the kite surfing lesson schedule to another date.
If this is not possible then the guests will receive a full refund of the prepaid missed lessons.

PRE-BOOKING
We recommend you to pre-book as soon as you can.
We will ask you for a 10% deposit when booking. The balance of the fees can be paid on arrival at our school.

If a course cannot be finished because of bad weather, you are free to come back any time in the future at no extra charge to complete.

If you choose to cancel a course half way through and ask for a refund for any reason, standard instructor rates will be charged for the portion of the course completed, and a refund will be given accordingly.
