Here they offer kite surfing lessons for all levels and ages as well as kite surfing equipment-rental. The kitesurfing instructors are all IKO certified and passionate about kite surfing. Kitesurfing lessons can be taught in English, Spanish or French. Come and learn to kite surf and and live the experience of kiting and being in the desert...Watching the coast while riding on the Dakhla lagoon, gliding across the water alongside nature, sea birds and sometimes flying fish is always a special feeling.

Morocco officially the Kingdom of Morocco is a country located in North Africa with a population of nearly 34 million and an area just under 447,000 km2. The capital is Rabat, and the largest city is Casablanca. It has a coast on the Atlantic Ocean that reaches past the Strait of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean Sea.

Dakhla is a city in the Western Sahara coast of Morocco, roughly 400 km from Mauritius and 300 kilometres from the border with Mauritania. Dakhla is also a port of the southern region in Western Sahara and is under the de facto control of Morocco.
The town was first established as a Spanish trading port in 1476 under the name of Villa Cisneros. Dakhla town is essentially spread over a huge sandy spit with a huge 50 kilometres lagoon that is set to become the off-beat playground for watersports enthusiasts. With an all-year-round climate of sunshine Dakhla is a perfect winter sun getaway!

Lessons take place in the lagoon of Dakhla, which is an area that is surrounded by sand dunes and located on the coast of Western Sahara in the south part of Morocco. In Dakhla you will enjoy the exotic and unique experience of being and kiting in the desert. Daily constant wind and flat water make it a really easy and safe location to learn kitesurfing.
Extreme Sports cafe's partner Dakhla Kitesurf School was created and is managed by Aurelia Herpin, The World Speed Champion 2006. All of the instructors at the Dakhla kite school have recognised diplomas from the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) and kite surfing lessons can be taught in English, French and Spanish. kitesurfing lessons can be taught as Group lessons, Semi private lessons or Private lessons.Kite surfing lessons are available for all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced. For all kitesurfing courses helmets with incorporated waterproof radio system are used.

 

Group Kitesurfing lessons. Max 4 people using 1 kite for 2 people. Lessons are 3 hours per day.

6Hrs of kite surfing tuition, over 2 days for Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced levels.
2-day Basic Course for Beginners includes - Kitesurfing basics, control of the kite on the beach and in the water, bodydragging.

3-Day Group Kitesurfing Courses
9Hrs of kite surfing tuition, over 3 days for Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced levels.
3-day Initiation Course for Beginners includes - basics, control of the kite on the beach and in the water, bodydragging and waterstart.

5-Day Group Kitesurfing Courses
15 hours kite surfing tuition over 5 days for Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced levels.
5-day Complete Course for Beginners includes - basics, control of the kite on the beach and in the water, bodydragging, waterstart, riding both directions, going upwind, equipment tuning.

Semi Private Kitesurfing lessons. 2people 1 kite each. Lessons are 3hours per day.

Advanced Kitesurfing Course
3 hours kite surfing tuition over 1 day. (2 hours for Private) This kite surfing lesson program will depend on your level & what you need work on. How to go up wind, if you ride without boardleash, how to get the board when you have dropped in the water, basics jumps, rotation and graps jumps, uhooked and wakestyle jumps...1-Day Group, Semi Private or Private Kitesurfing Tuition.

• Kite surfing lessons for all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced.
• Helmets with new waterproof incorporated radio system, enabling live communication between you and your instructor even when you are in the water.
• Kitesurfing lessons can be taught in English, French and Spanish.
• New 2009 and 2008 equipment. Bow kites are used for kite lessons.
• Kite surfing lesson content personalised and adapted to the learning curve of each person.
• Open all year round with a choice between 3 different kinds of course: Group course, Semi private course and Private course.

Kitesurfing Equipment Rental
You are only allowed to rent after a quick check of your current level. The kite instructor will check your ability to control your kite and to ride upwind.
Current and past students at the kite school don't have to go through the checking
session to be allowed to rent equipment.
The brand of the kitesurfing equipment (kites and boards) used for rental is Airush.
Kites are available in all sizes from 2m to 12m.

All extreme sports cafe kitesurfing courses in Portugal follow the VDWS assessment system. Our instructors are VDWS qualified and at the end of each course students will receive an VDWS card with their achieved level. All the necessary equipment is provided for students. (excluding food and drinks) Students are advised to wear a hat and apply sun-cream as they will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Students must be 16 years or older, although we can teach children under 16 with their parent’s permission and presence.
