Extreme sports Café’s new Kitesurfing Center in Mauritius is situated on a true world class kitespot, which is being acknowledged by more and more kitesurfers through out the world. A vast white sand beach, beautiful flat water areas and challenging reef waves make our spot one of the finest kite destinations you can visit.

Our Location boasts: • An 800 Meter sugar white beach. • A beautiful lagoon that provides a large & safe training area. • Crystal clear water, if you’re lucky you’ll see mantas here! • Unspoilt uncrowned beaches. • Friendly and helpful local people. • Side- onshore wind, you get back safely at all times. • Constant winds all year round, mainly from southeast. • No currents (apart from reef passes) and no sharks. • Our base, which offers equipment, services and security. • 3 star Hotel right near our spot, clean and affordable. • Great water temperature, year round between 23 and 28°C. • Perfect conditions, flat-water to breathtaking reef waves.

Mauritius is completely protected by a reef-belt. This provides paradise-like conditions for learning or practicing kitesurfing. According to your level you’ll be accompanied by a boat or coached by your instructor in the water or land. Our focus is always on maximum safety & fun for you. All our Course Packages include an IKO/VDWS License and Beginners Workbook. All our instructors are experienced and certified by VOWS/VDWS/IKO. For the more experienced riders we organize down-wind trips and kite-adventures to various spots!

From Nov-May 3-4 Bft. (3-4 kite days a week on average)

The wind could likely get a bit weak for a couple of days between Dec and April. When this happens our local Kite instructor will take you to other spots on the island that do have decent winds. This way you get to explore the most beautiful places and still kite in nice and safe conditions, while an experienced instructor looks out for you.
All course prices include board, kite, harness, impact vest, helmet and tuition.

Extreme Sports Cafe Mauritius kite boarding center is equipped with the latest North Equipment. We can also provide custom boards specially designed for our lagoons.
We directly cooperate with the local distributor of North Kiteboarding, so if you want to you can test virtually any item from that brand and purchase equipment about 30% cheaper than in Europe.

The Holiday and Nightlife...

If you are after some evening entertainment you can visit one of the other hotels in the area, some of them rated amongst the highest hotels in the world and really worth a visit. They offer many different entertainment programs including live bands, professional dance shows and disco’s till 1am pretty much every night. Also about 35min away by taxi there are more choices of pubs and disco’s. We have been known to tag along for beers and fun. But be warned, we’ve heard of people who’ve missed their flights home because of the fine local rum or some island beauty/hunk or a combination of the two.

Accommodation for Mauritius

Mauritius is known as a luxury destination, but we can offer you affordable accommodation right by our kite spot.

Our hotel provides clean and tidy rooms with AC and friendly service. Luxurious gardens, streaming waterfalls, straw huts and rustic timber structures, all add to the island paradise atmosphere. Mauritius is also famous for it’s local & international cuisine.

The atmosphere is very laid back and the locals are used already to kiters, so it’s no problem if you want to have a quick snack in your wet clothes between your morning and afternoon session.

Our hotel is 50m away from the kite-beach, all you have to do is cross the small beach-road.
