Kiteboarding
- the ultimate in freedom - the ultimate challenge - even when
you’re relaxing on holiday!
You
can learn how to kitesurf in many spots around the world, but
few offer the ideal conditions of Extreme Sports Café’s
new partner Kenyan kitesurfing school for learning: wide beach,
soft sand, protective barrier reef, no corals or rocks, cross
winds and last but not least very warm water! Africa is like
no other place on earth and kitesurfing there will be a holiday
of a lifetime!
Extreme sports Café can now offer you incredible
kiting
conditions and a very chilled and unique type of holiday, in
a new, uncrowned, exotic destination that combines great kiting
conditions with a fantastic beach holiday. Extreme Sports café’s
newest partner is an established Kitesurf School on the beautiful
Kenya Coast -- it was actually the first school to open in East
Africa 8 years ago. A small exclusive refuge situated on a deserted
golden beach on the fringe of the Indian Ocean, set amongst
a coconut palm plantation. This “barefoot luxury”
resort is built of local rustic materials in true Robinson Crusoe
style..........
The
Republic of Kenya is a country in East Africa and has some of
the best locations in the world for Kitesurfing. Flat wide beaches
along a protected coastline and the steady winds of the east
African coast combine to make Kenya ideal for both beginners
and experienced kitesurfers..
It is bordered by
Ethiopia
to the north, Somalia to the east, Tanzania to the south, Uganda
to the west, and Sudan to the northwest, with the Indian Ocean
running along the southeast border. The country is named after
Mount Kenya, a very significant landmark. Kenya has considerable
land area of wildlife habitat, including the Masai Mara, where
Blue Wildebeest and other bovids participate in a large-scale
annual migration. The "Big Five" animals of Africa
can also be found in Kenya: the lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros
and elephant.
Kenya enjoys a tropical climate. It is hot and humid at the
coast, temperate inland and very dry in the north and northeast
parts of the country. There is however a lot of rain between
the months March and May. The temperature does remain high throughout
these months. The hottest period is from February to March and
coldest in July to August. With an average of 300 days of wind
per year, at an average of 16 knots and with peaks of 18 to
25 knots the spot offers a very wide range of kiting conditions.
Depending on the tides you have a daily choice, from waves to
glassy flat water all in a safe bay.
Extreme Sports Café’s partner Kenyan Kitesurfing
School is an established school with 9+ years of experience
located on the beautiful Kenya Coastline, (In The Coast Province
of Kenya) just 2 hours North of Mombasa and 30 minutes North
of Malindi. Today, our partner Kenyan Kitesurfing School is
the premier kitesurf spot in East Africa and is in the process
of being affiliated with the BKSA
(British Kitesurfing Association).. It offers incredible kiting
conditions and continues to be praised by international pro
riders, beginners, as well as magazines and television programs.
The centre is quiet, chilled and unlike other kite spots, you
won’t be fighting for space with the crowds on the water;
making kiting and learning kiting much safer and more fun! The
Kitesurfing centre, located on a beautiful wide beach is also
part of a resort which has beautiful eco-style accommodations
all set in the midst of a stunning lush location with coconut
trees, palm trees, sand dunes and a handful of traditional small
villages.
The kitesurfing spot is blessed with the most ideal beach and
wind conditions for kitesurf learners and expert riders alike.
