Boracay: Island Paradise

Our Kitesurfing Centre on Boracay
The only officially approved kitesurf centre in Asia. We are recognised by the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organisation) and the BKSA (British Kitesurfing Association) to teach beginners through to instructors.

The kitesurfing centre is situated right on White Beach, literally a stones throw from the dive boats, and less than a two minute walk from your accommodation. With a bar and restaurant to relax in after your days diving, Calypso also introduces you to a great social scene of like-minded people.

Kitesurfing Boracay...
Boracay has got to be the perfect place to learn to kitesurf, and to continue kitesurfing for beginners through to pro kitesurfers. The bay is stunning. Surrounded by dense palm trees, the water is turquoise, warm, flat and chest deep across the entire bay. As you near the fringing reef, chop appears, and if you really want to, you can pick your way through the reef to the waves on the outside (not for the faint hearted). And thanks to the lack of development, there are only palm trees to land in! Only one or two other kitesurfers and a handful of other windsurfers will be sharing this beautiful bay with you.

The wind blows cross-on shore, giving two mile long reaches inside the bay. Lighter in the mornings and evenings, the wind really blows from late morning through until late afternoon. Beginners and improvers can use each end of the day to practice in ideal conditions.

Island Life - Boracay Philippines...

Activities with Extreme Sports Cafe on Boracay....
Diving, Windsurfing and Kitesurfing are only a few of the many ways to enjoy Boracay. You won't find better beaches for sunbathing, reading or taking a dip. And you can fill days at a time by having a Shiatsu massage, coffee at Nadines, cocktails at the Wreck Bar and beach walks, visits to the market, and bike rides.

After Dark on Boracay...
Evenings are never dull. Start off at one of the chilled bars by the beach, taking your time over a couple of 'rum cokes' to decide whether to eat Mongolian, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Filipino, Indian, French or Swiss from one of the many restaurants along White Beach. After dinner you'll want to move on to a friendly bar to either relax, mix, dance or try your hand at 'singalong' (karaoke Filipino style!), you're always made to feel welcome by warm hearted locals.

Boracay Resort Villas
Extreme Sports Café’s Resort Villas are located just a two minute walk from our Diving Centre and Boracay's famous White Beach. Set in private landscaped gardens, Extreme Sports Café’s Resort Villas will be a very comfortable and relaxing part of your holiday on Boracay and very hard to leave behind.

Our standard rooms are bright and spacious, each room has its own balcony or veranda overlooking the gardens.

The Deluxe room is split into two levels, and has a bedroom on both levels. A large and spacious balcony overlooks the gardens, as does the upstairs bedroom.

Our Junior Suite is a lovely designed studio, with a fitted kitchen, lounge area and with the bedroom upstairs. All rooms overlook our gardens.
The Suite at Extreme Sports Café’s Resort villas is a beautifully designed two-room apartment, really your home from home. The suit has two bedrooms, two large bathrooms, fitted kitchen, lounge and dining area.

Boracay Beach Resort
Located on the front of White Beach, directly next to our Scuba Diving Centre. There are six rooms available here. All rooms are stylish and uniquely decorated.

A private sundeck rooftop overlooks White Beach.

All the Resort Villas rooms have a balcony over looking the gardens and at our Beach Resort there are sunroofs over looking the beach.

The rooms are all fully air-conditioned with hot water showers, cable television and mini-bar.

1 Day Kitesurfing Course $89US
1 Day introduction to Kitesurfing. This 1-day Kitesurfing course content will include Kite flying skills to body dragging.

Objectives:
• Knowledge and control of 2 line foil, then 4-line kite (un-hooked).

2 Day Kitesurfing Course $185US
2 Day introduction to Kitesurfing. This 2-day Kitesurfing course will include your first attempts at board starts.

Objectives:
• Knowledge and control of 2 line foil, then 4-line kite (un-hooked).
• Further kite control and progress to first water start.

4 Day Kitesurfing Course $275US
4 Day introduction to Kitesurfing. This 4-day Kitesurfing course will include your first short rides with 4 lines and get you eligible for rentals.

Objectives:
• Knowledge and control of 2 line foil, then 4-line kite (un-hooked).
• Further kite control and progress to first water start.
• Progression to constant waterstarts.
• Water starts and edge control.

A theory lesson covering wind/ types, turbulence, wind scales, charts, tidal effects, thermals, weather, equipment, synoptic charts venture effects etc will be included during the course duration.

All pupils who take IKO courses 1-4 days will leave with an IKO card. Production of this card at other centres will enable onward progression or rental should L2 have been reached.

Each kitesurfing package includes:

Tuition by an IKO qualified instructor in groups of 4 or less, ensuring the fastest progression and the safest learning environment.

Equipment is selected from our range of Naish school kites and boards, the largest in Asia, to suit the participants and conditions. Kites, boards, harnesses, flotation vests and boots are all included. More intermediate and advanced kites are available as rental, for those with previous experience too.

06 Kites (Naish Torch/ Raven or Slingshot Fuels/Turbo Diesels Underground or Naish Boards)
07 Kites (Naish 2007 range or Slingshot 2007 Octane).

Kitesurfing Tuition
Tuition by an IKO qualified instructor in groups of 4 or less, ensuring the fastest progression and the safest learning environment.

Equipment is selected from our range of Naish school kites and boards, the largest in Asia, to suit the participants and conditions. Kites, boards, harnesses, flotation vests and boots are all included. More intermediate and advanced kites are available as rental, for those with previous experience too.

Rental equipment is available for those with an IKO L2 card or displaying suitable level and knowledge.

Kitesurfing Equipment
Our Naish Explorers range is being phased out for the more versatile Best Grunts. Best Kites have rocketed from nowhere to the world no.3 supplier of kites in little over a year, producing a well built product and marketing direct. The Grunts are a 4-line kite but now for 05 with an adaptable bridle system, allowing you to learn on 2 lines before converting to 4. This means you’ll learn the characteristics of the kite from day 1 all the way through. 05 Naish SE (School Edition) Boxers are in the arsenal for 4-line flying and rental also. 5 line rental kites will also be available for those wishing to try the new system which gives the rider greater power control.

Our kitesurf centers in The Philippines are located in some of the best locations for sun, surf, kitesurfing, windsurfing and extreme sports of all kinds, not to mention some of the best night spots..

We can asssist with flights from Manila to Boracay, and meet you at the airport and take you to our resort.. Just ask for info..
