Join Extreme Sports Cafe and our team in Emuria Brava and learn to Kite surf on the Costa Brava in Spain this year... Extreme Sports Cafe uses only new Kitesurfing equipment and IKO (International Kite Organisation) qualified kitesurf instructors in our school, thus ensuring the highest level of instruction in a safe environment.
Furthermore it offers a flying school and a parachute center where training courses and tandem skydives can be booked at any time. Tennis, riding and golf are also naturally offered and are very popular. The countryside around Empuriabrava is very varied and is perfect for walking and exploring. There are countless romantic villages, cathedrals, rivers, lakes and pine forests, which have helped to inspire so many painters. Dali, Picasso, Miro are just a few of the most famous who warrant a mention. Therefore, it is worth a visit to some of the many beautiful museums. The unique area close to the Pyrenees and Barcelona makes it impossible to be bored even on a cloudy day. A state of the art bowling hall, a water park, a fitness centre and health farm as well as a butterfly park are some of the free time activities.
We can advise and help book the nicest local hotels which offer great rates for skydivers and kitesurfers coming to town with us. We can also help you arrange exclusive accommodation in local villas and houses at great rates for individuals as well as families, or groups of friends who want to share.
Our favourite house is located in the centre of Empuriabrava, in a quiet, lush, exclusive residential area. Everything is, however, easily accessible over three bridges (10 mins), the shopping zone, beach and harbour. The house consists of 4 apartments, with a beautifully spacious garden, a big swimming pool, barbecue area, and a lawn with sun beds. 4-room
apartment for up to 4 persons, approx 70 square meters. We also have an apartment block... The apartment block is quietly located, although it is not far from the main shopping street with its boutiques, bars and restaurants. Within the building itself you can find our restaurant "Oasis", which for many years has been enjoyed by skydivers, kitesurfers and people on holiday in this magical town by the sea.
Price €125.00 The 1 day course includes kitesurfing theory, basic kite flying and body dragging in the water (without board.) It's a great way to find out if the sport of kiteboarding or kitesurfing is for you.
Price €230.00 This course begins with the basic kitesurfing course detailed above. On the second day you will learn 'Water-starts' and initial navigation with the kitesurf board.
Price €330.00 This course includes the kitesurfing knowledge and skill development from the one and two day kitesurfing courses. Students then also learn how to navigate with the board.
Price €500.00 This full kitesurfing course is the recommended course for those who want to become a kitesurfer at the end of their training. Kitesurfing courses of 2 days or more are highly recommended for those wanting to reach a good level of kitesurfing competence. Courses can be booked online with a 10% deposit by following the Book Online links. The balance can be paid upon arrival at our school. All kitesurfing gear for students is provided.
We've been getting people into Kitesurfing and Skydiving and Paragliding and all manner of exciting new extreme sports for over 10 years now. So you know we'll get you started in your new extreme sport, or continue your ongoing education, or simply provide you with great kitesurf advice and reliable kitesurfing gear.
Our kitesurf center is located in Empuriabrava in the Bay of Roses, 130 kilometers north of Barcelona and close to the French border. By Car Please contact us for directions and a map. By Train Take the train to Figueres station, there you can either take the bus to Empuriabrava (from the bus station next to the train), or you can take a taxi (20€) By Air By air you can fly to Barcelona, Girona or Perpignan (France). The companies Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and even British Airways (If you really want to use an overpriced, low service quality airline!) all offer flights at discount prices and Sarfa buses run between airports and Empuriabrava.

All courses follow the IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) assessment system. Our instructors are IKO qualified and at the end of each course students will receive an IKO card with their achieved level. All the necessary equipment is provided for students (excluding food and drinks) and the courses last between 4 and 5 hours per day depending on the wind conditions. Students are advised to wear a hat and apply sun-cream as they will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Students must be 16 years or older, although we can teach children under 16 with their parent’s permission and presence. |

surfing, sailing, parasailing, water-skiing, jet skiing, kitesurfing

can be flown directly from.

Extreme
Sports Cafe's kitesurfing school in Empuriabrava is open from
Easter until October each year. We start running courses on
the 1st April each year (no joke!). We use only new boards and
kites and IKO (International Kite Organisation) qualified kitesurfing
instructors in our school.
