Features: Pristine mangrove forests in a hidden nature reserve, an abundance of wildlife such as large numbers of colourful tropical birds, crab eating monkeys, mud skippers and monitor lizards, stunning scenery, beautiful white beaches, no tourists whatsoever.
Season: January/February and from May to October. For
a large part of this kayaking adventure we pass through a mangrove
forest in a hidden nature reserve. In this beautiful forest
it is as if time has stood still, untouched by man this mangrove
ecosystem has been able to develop to it's fullest, as our kayaks
glide between tall trees rising out of the sea we view wildlife
such as crab eating monkeys, giant monitor lizards and an incredible
amount of colourful tropical birds that have made this area
their home.
Features:
National park, beautiful coastline, smooth boulder formations
with in between Includes: Transportation from hotel and back, snorkelling equipment, snacks, fruit and non-alcoholic beverages, a meal. Season: January and February and from May to October (weather permitting) This
very same beach just so happens to be the departure point for
our jungle trip, from. A small path winds it's way through a
primary rainforest giving us the opportunity to see it's huge
variety of beautiful vegetation, tall trees and it's many tropical
birds, we pass several streams. Our jungle walk is optional
so if you prefer to relax on the beach or snorkel instead, then
that's fine too.
Features: Beautiful small paradise island, palm fringed white beaches, secluded coves, brilliant coral reef gardens, excellent for snorkelling, very quiet and a magnificent sunset.
Season: January/February and from May until September. The coral here is nicer than that found on many of the islands further offshore because this area is not visited by many tourists. As there is no fresh water here, it has limited the tourist development allowing the coral here to flourish. We can stop at any place you wish to swim, snorkel, explore or just relax. Sitting in silence on the rocks, enjoying drinks and watching the sky change as the sun nears the horizon, this is a very relaxing and unique kayaking experience. We then paddle the short way back to Phuket and you will be back in time for dinner.
Extreme Sports Café’s Phuket Kayaking Centre uses sit on top kayaks made by the brand "Hobie", (the makers of the famous Hobie Cat catamarans), and "Feel Free". We have both single canoes and canoes in which 2 people can sit.
Extreme Sports Café’s Phuket Kayaking Centre, Hobie sit on top kayaks are specially designed to have some of the speed of ocean kayaks, (ocean kayaks are very long, sleek and fast kayaks) but also the stability of a sit on top kayak. This stability and the fact that they are sit on top canoes makes them very easy to get in and out of, your legs are free to move around and you can easily hop into the water for a swim or snorkel at any place you want.
