Extreme Sports Cafes’ new partner Portuguese Watersports Centre offers both Windsurfing and Kitesurfing instruction between May and September. Our partner Portuguese Watersports Centre is located in the northwest of Portugal, near the town of Aveiro, in a picturesque fisherman Village. This Water-sports centre was opened in 1997, due to the efforts of two windsurfers who wanted to provide good support for water-sports locally.
The nearest big city with airport is Porto at about 80 Km from the spot. The Portuguese Tourist Board licensed the Portuguese Watersports Centre in 2000. In 2000 they began the Kitesurfing School and were the first official Portuguese school of the international Wipika School network. Since then it has evolved, and is now recognised, both national and international, for the quality of the infrastructure, services, customer support and staff.

Portugal Windsurfing Equipment Hire
This windsurfing equipment hire is for 2hours and includes supervision by the centre staff whilst you are on the water as well. Beginner/advanced boards and sails available.
- All windsurfing equipment needed for lessons is supplied including safety boat cover.
- All instructors are certificated by VDWS.
