• Like the rest of Thailand, Rayong is subject to the annual monsoon rains, which are heaviest from June to September. The coolest and driest time of year is December to February.  Extreme Sports Café’s partner Rayong Wakeboarding Centre operates for wake boarding from November till June each year.

• There are 6 villas here located upon the beautiful picturesque shores of the Wakeboarding Lake. All rooms have four-poster beds in contemporary en-suite villas with fans. Each villa can sleep up to 4 people.

Rayong is located on the east coast of Thailand on the northern shoreline of the Gulf of Thailand, some 179 kilometres from Bangkok. The climate is tropical, generally warm and humid with abundant rainfall; average temperature is around 28 C. The best months are November through February.

Extreme Sports Café’s partner Wake boarding hideaway can only be reached and discovered by water or a journey down a sandy road, that’s encased in a forest of protected hard wood trees. This is the first step of your escapism from your real world into our world.

• As you travel down the windy track you pass the homes of the Hissan tribal people. Your journey is complete when your vision sets upon the mirror still water of the lake. (A valley owned by the king that was flooded to produce a lake 12 miles long and a mile wide for the local people to fish upon to earn a living among the local community.)

Wakeboarding Rayong Resort Accommodation: Extreme Sports Café’s partner wakeboarding Rayong resort is situated in a beautiful and unique location. Set amongst a natural clearing of an ancient eucalyptus forest providing you with natures very own natural insect repellent creating a mosquito free environment. 

• There is no air conditioning at the resort due it to being right on the lake. In the evening the temperature drops right down and you also get a lovely breeze coming off the lake, sometimes you even need a duvet.
  
• There are 6 log cabins, situated on the lake all having views across the water.  All cabins have electricity, showers, private toilets and king sized four poster beds.  On site is also a restaurant providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinks and snacks. 
  
• The accommodations are log cabin rustic Thai' style which create the most chilled out  beautiful vibe across the camp from sunrise to sunset and onward. The camp is linked by a inviting series of walkways which join up the sociable, friendly personal nature of the camp.

Getting There By Bus Rayong is connected by regular bus services with Bangkok and other towns and provinces such as Pattaya, Chonburi, Chanthaburi, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Nong Khai, Surin and Ubon Ratchathani.

• Air conditioned and regular buses leave Bangkok to Rayong from The Eastern Bus Terminal on Sukhumvit Road, Ekamai, Tel: 3914900 (air) and Tel: 3912504 (non-air). 
• Air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok every 30-40 minutes from 05.00 hrs until 22.00 hrs. One-way fare is approx 85 baht. 
• Non-air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok every 30 minutes from 04.30 hrs until 20.00 hrs. One-way fare is approx 47 baht. The trip takes about 3 hours.
• Air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok for Ban Phe every hour from 07.00 hrs until 20,30 hrs.
• Non- air-conditioned buses leave every hour from 05.15 hrs until 18.30 hrs. 
• One-way fare is approx 90 baht for air-conditioned bus and approx 50 baht for non-air-conditioned bus.

Getting There By Air Bangkok Airways operates regular scheduled flights from Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Samui Island to Rayong-Utapao International Airport.

Local Transportation

• Public urban transportation within Rayong is in the form of minibuses. Local buses leave the Rayong Bus Terminal at Rayong Trade Centre for various destinations throughout the day.  Depending on the distances, fares are about 5-15 baht.
