Extreme Sports Cafe's new partner skydiving Drop Zone on Mauritius is open all year round. Innovative and progressive, Skydive Mauritius are dedicated to delivering a unique tandem skydive experience, with high standards of safety and comfort. The highly qualified and friendly tandem skydive team love to skydive. They live to share the freefall experience with people like you, in one of the most spectacular Island locations in the world. Skydive Mauritius are the only operational civilian skydiving Drop Zone on the island of Mauritius. 

• Skydive Mauritius was started by Chris Wilkinson-Pearce and Gaetan Paqauy in 2009… Since then they have helped over 700 people feel the rush of a 200kmh fall towards the earth with the security of unequaled safety standards. 
• Chris and Gaetan have been the pioneers of Skydiving in Mauritius. They are the only operation on the island to have successfully introduced light aviation and Skydiving to the island and with the support and approval of the Mauritius Department of Civil Aviation. 
• The DZ use a Cessna 182 for Skydiving Tandems.The DZ is located next to Riviere du Rempart village, a 20 minute drive from Grand Baie, nestled in the heart of the northern sugar fields of Mauritius. SkyDive Mauritius is only one hours drive from the south.
• The views of Mauritius, totally surrounded by the Indian Ocean on the ride up to altitude are stunning, unforgettable and unbeatable. 
• The freefall experience is a unique sensation that Skydive Mauritius is determined to share with everyone.

We offer Tandem Skydives with a scenic ride up to jump altitude and of course fun jumping for experienced skydivers is also available.

• Tandem Skydive 11,500MRU per person

You can add video and camera as extra cost options to the jump, or simply do your tandem skydive and enjoy the experience. 

• Handy-cam DVD is 3,800MRU p/p.

This tandem skydive experience may then lean you to decide you want to take a full parachute course and learn to skydive. If you want to continue to learn to skydive check out the AFF. (Accelerated Free Fall course)

Capture your adrenalin fuelled Mauritius sky diving adventure amidst breathtaking sea scenery on DVD. SkyDive Mauritius offer a number of digital photography and DVD options that will allow you to re-live your Mauritius skydiving experience with family and friends whenever you choose. Your Freefall or Handi-Cam DVD’s are edited within 20 minutes of your landing & ready to watch and take away.

• Can we all be filmed at the same time? No, sorry, it is impossible to film more than one person in freefall. Our camera flyers are good but you’d have to be faster than a speeding bullet to fly between two tandems falling at terminal velocity. We are very happy to film 2 people on the ground and in the plane. It is best that each person has their own video.

• The camera is mounted in a glove on the back of your tandem skydiving instructor’s hand. With an ultra wide angle lens it records a great view of your smiling face in freefall and the ride under canopy. 

Skydive Mauritius faq Weather conditions

The weather in Mauritius is usually pretty good. SkyDive Mauritius is famous for clear sunny days, there are clouds but they do not hang around for long. Remember it is always best to book in advance rather than wait to see what the day holds, there is no skydiving if the weather conditions are not favourable.

What if the weather is bad?

• It is simple, there is no jumping if the weather is not good. If you are not able to skydive at your booked time the DZ will re-book you in for later that day or the following day depending on the weather and your schedule. We advise you to be flexible around the time of your jump just in case the weather is not favourable.

What sort of weather effects tandem skydiving?

• Tandem skydiving is very weather dependent and cannot be undertaken in strong winds, or if there is complete cloud cover. Mauritius weather can often change quickly, so we ask that you call the DZ 1 hour before your jump time, to confirm conditions are suitable for sky diving.

SkyDive Mauritius do take dropping out of the sky seriously but they are also serious about people having fun while they challenge themselves to a tandem skydive. Lots of FUN with SAFETY is a big part of the Skydiving Mauritius experience.

• We do appreciate the frustration that delays can bring but please be assured that our primary responsibility is for the safety of all jumpers. In the event of you being unable to make your jump on your scheduled day due to weather or technical issues the DZ will re-schedule an alternative date with you.
