Extreme Sports Café has teamed up with the longest running Paramotoring School in Thailand which offers consistent, quality instruction. All new paramotor students start their course in Ban Chang, Thailand. Our partner Paramotor Thailand School offer courses for beginners to advanced pilots. All our beginner courses are run in Ban Chang. Ban Chang is roughly 30mins from Pattaya, which in turn is roughly 2hrs from Bangkok. Our training hill here, is one of the best in the nation with gentle unobstructed slopes, and a road to the top. The hill provides consistent conditions for teaching the skills, and insights needed to become a paramotor pilot. Our partner Paramotor Thailand School has Certified SFAT Advanced Instructors with over 10 years experience, who will help provide you with a great start to the sport of Paramotoring. Thailand Paramotoring

Our partner Thailand Paramotor & Paragliding School run courses all year round except for June and July. (too wet)

  • Rainy (South West Monsoon) Season - mid May to mid October
  • Winter (Northeast Monsoon) Season - mid October to mid February
  • Summer (Pre-monsoon) season - mid February to mid May

The best months for flying in Thailand are from October to May although just because its rainy season doesn't mean that it rains all of the time.  Class sizes can be from 1 or 2 students with a maximum of 3. Courses run from 10am to 6pm every day.

Paramotoring Thailand Beginner Paramotor Course 30,000THB 
On this 5-6 day Paramotor course you will be taught all the necessary skills you need to become a Novice Paramotor pilot. 
To learn to paramotor, you start with kiting a wing on day 1, for 3 - 4 days  with practical and theory. Then you move onto kiting a wing with a motor attached to your back, this usually take’s one day to get familiar with. Then a Tandem flight with an instructor until you gain good confidence to go for your first flight.
Thailand Paramotoring Kiting On The BeachYou will learn all about and become familiar with the concept of stalls, soaring, turn dynamics, landing approach procedures as well as a good knowledge of meteorology, relevant air law, the power Unit and power checks.

Included in the Thailand Paramotor course: 

  • Use of all Paramotor equipment need
  • Instruction including Theory
  • 1 Tandem Flight with an instructor
  • Accommodation at the Instructors House

For successful completion of the Paramotor course, student will obtain:Thailand Paramotor Course

  • Student learning book in English
  • Student’s Flying Course Guide/Daily Learning Progress Record Book
  • Pilot's Log Book
  • Novice Pilot Certification (SFAT)

5- 6 days should be sufficient time to complete the course. (the average time scale for most new pilots to grasp paramotoring is between 10-12 hrs) You will be provided with a full log and record of your training. Certification will be as a Novice Pilot.

Paramotoring Thailand Paramotor Course NotesThailand paramotor Tandem Flight

  • Paramotor students should be between 16-55 years old and weight not more than 90kgs. (Otherwise subject to instructor's approval)
  • The included accommodation is a room at the Instructors house. If you would prefer to have a Hotel room this can be arranged for you but is not included in the package and will have to be paid for by you.
  • Student should bring along a copy of their passport and 2 photos. (passport size) Students will complete a Student's Application Form and balance of payment will also be required then, prior to the course start. Course Payment Fee is non refundable.
  • The goal will be for you to complete your SFAT (Sport Flying Association Thailand) Novice Flight Certification. Thailand Paramotor Tandem Flight
  • Our partner Thailand Paramotor School will provide all technical Paramotor equipment required for the course. 
  • Included in your Paramotor package price is a tee shirt, Paramotor manual and Paramotor logbook. 
  • You can also take advantage of some significant discounts when purchasing your own paramotor equipment from our partner Thailand Paramotor School. 

Thailand Paramotoring Course Completion
If a student is not able to complete the course within the recommended 5-7 days, they will be offered an extension on course hours, under instructor supervision and care. This will be until the instructor is fully satisfied with the student's skill and gains approval of their performance, for solo flight. Thailand Paramotor Tandem Flight

  • Course Completion Timers If students do not manage to finish the paramotor course in the recommend 4-5 days for 40 years and below or 6-7 days for 41 years and above (weather permitting) and still wish to continue training, there will be an extra per day charge added to complete the course. We do recommend you allow a few extra days to give yourself enough time to finish.

Thailand Paramotoring Equipment
Most students will go on to purchase their own equipment after the course. Paramotoring equipment can be purchased through our Thailand Paramotoring School. Your instructor will be able to guide you through what is best suited for your level, style of flying and body weight.
