Tulum's greatest attraction is its location. It stands on a bluff facing the rising sun looking out on views of the Caribbean that are nothing less than spectacular. In Maya, Tulum means Wall and the city was christened thus because it is a walled city, one of the very few the ancients ever built. Research suggests it was formerly called Zama or to dawn in its day, which is appropriate given the location.
Kitesurfing lessons can also be taught on the island of Holbox or great trips to Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve, Playa Del Carmen, Xpu Ha, Isla Blanca near Cancun, Progreso, and Telchac Puerto. With so many locations and more to come you are sure to have a great kiteboarding vacation.- Long stretches of white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and swaying palm trees make Tulum one of the most beautiful tropical paradises in Mexico and in the world. It is surrounded by the world’s second largest barrier reef and unlocks the door to a wide array of ocean adventures too.

The last hurricane was in 1995, the one before that 1988. We hope we are not due another for a few years. November begins the winter season with milder temperatures and lower humidity.
