Kitesurfing Tulum Mexico

Mexico is famous for its majestic Mayan ruins located in Tulum among rugged cliffs overlooking the beautiful turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean.
Enjoy all that this amazing, historically interesting place offers including Kitesurfing Courses and lessons from Extreme Sports Café’s partner Mexico Kitesurfing School in the beautiful waters of the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. With its consistent winds, warm Caribbean blue waters and beautiful stretches of white sandy beaches you'll discover a kiteboarding dream. This is an ideal place to learn kite surfing, to practice or to ride.

Tulum's greatest attraction is its location. It stands on a bluff facing the rising sun looking out on views of the Caribbean that are nothing less than spectacular. In Maya, Tulum means Wall and the city was christened thus because it is a walled city, one of the very few the ancients ever built. Research suggests it was formerly called Zama or to dawn in its day, which is appropriate given the location.

Mexico Weather - The winters are sunny and mild. It starts getting warmer in March. There are some spring rains, but not what would be referred to as a rainy season. June can be rainy. July to August are usually hot and humid. Traditionally September and October have the highest risk of hurricanes. (Officially the Caribbean storm season is June-October). The last hurricane was in 1995, the one before that 1988. We hope we are not due another for a few years. November begins the winter season with milder temperatures and lower humidity.
