Kitesurfing Morocco North Africa

Come and learn to kite surf in Morocco, live the experience of kiting and being in the desert...Watching the coast while riding on the Dakhla lagoon, gliding across the water alongside nature, sea birds and sometimes flying fish is always a special feeling.

Dakhla is a city in the Western Sahara coast of Morocco, roughly 400 km from Mauritius and 300 kilometres from the border with Mauritania. It is located in one of the least populated areas on earth. Dakhla is also a port of the southern region in Western Sahara and is under the de facto control of Morocco. Kitesurfing Durban South Africa

  • Dakhla town is essentially spread over a huge sandy spit with a huge 50 kilometres lagoon that is set to become the off-beat playground for watersports enthusiasts. Daily constant wind and flat water make it a really easy and safe location to learn kitesurfing.  With an all-year-round climate of sunshine Dakhla is a perfect winter sun getaway.

Essaouira is on the Atlantic coast and the water is pretty cold but it's also quite windy. Not ideal for swimming or sunbathing but fun for surfing, wind surfing or kite surfing. The beach runs for about 6 miles (10km). Essaouira is a laid back coastal town that offers travellers a nice break from the hubbub of Marrakech which is just a few hours away.

  • Essaouira's biggest attraction may be its relaxing atmosphere. It's not a big town, and being a beach place it has a holiday feel about it.You can walk around Essaouira for the most part, that's the charm of this town. Petit-taxis are the best way to get from the bus station to your hotel (although they can't go into the Medina).

Averaging about 18C to 26 C during the day the temeperature in Dakhla is generally pleasant throughout the year but does drop considerably during the night.
  • Moroccan cuisine has long been considered as one of the most diversified cuisines in the world. This is a result of the centuries-long interaction of Morocco with the outside world. The cuisine of Morocco is a mix of Berber, Spanish, Corsican, Portuguese, Moorish, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and African cuisines. The cuisine of Morocco has been influenced by the native Berber cuisine, the Arabic Andalusian cuisine brought by the Moriscos when they left Spain, the Turkish cuisine from the Turks and the Middle Eastern cuisines brought by the Arabs, as well as Jewish cuisine.
