  • The huge flat waters of the Dakhla lagoon offer ideal conditions for learning or improving your kitesurfing skills. There is also the option of some fantastic waves spots on the ocean side which are not to be missed.
  • Extreme Sports Cafe's partner Dakhla kite school has a fully equipped centre that offers complete kitesurfing and windsurfing equipment rental. They use only new, top quality North gear. 
  • Surfboards are also available for rent in case you want to check out the wave spots. You can choose different equipment each day according to the wind conditions, making sure you gain the maximum time out on the water. Also included is full security boat assistance, so that you have some help if you need it.

Kitesurfing Morocco Dakhla Lagoon

Dakhla is famous for its impressive wind statistics all year long, a day without wind is pretty rare. Temperatures are warm all year long. Water temperature in the lagoon is 20 degrees in the winter and 25 degrees in the summer.

Kitesurfing Morocco Bungalows Dakhla Lagoon

Dakhla Kitesurfing Accommodation
Our partner Dakhla Kite camp offers you tents or bungalows all located next to the kitesurfing School. Comfortable accommodation located directly on the shores of the Dakhla lagoon, kitesurf right in front of your room. There are various options for accommodation, shared or private tents and bungalows. The camp facilities include a restaurant, bar, surf shop, spa, wireless internet connection and much more.

The tents are comfortable and also have electricity, so you can charge your phones, laptops etc. They have a shared shower and toilet area. (hot showers) The tents are located a two minute walk from the bar and restaurant. Kitesurfing Morocco Nomad Styled Tents Dakhla Lagoon
Shared Tent Accommodation.

Private Tent Accommodation

Private Bungalow Accommodation 

  • €63 or €79 per night depending on type of bungalow. (Suitable for one or two people)
  • €441 1-week. (7 nights)

All meals are included in the price of your accommodation. Breakfast is traditional moroccan crepes, bread, honey, jam, teas and coffee. Lunch is a combination of salads, pasta, and grilled fish or chicken. Dinner is either traditional moroccan tagine or cous cous. Water is included with all meals.

  • The bar is open all day and you can purchase alcohol, refreshments and snacks. 
  • Wifi connection costs 20 euros per week, and works from 5pm to 8am.
  • The above prices are per person and include breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and Dakhla airport transfers.

Other Activities Dakhla, Morocco
Dakhla offers you plenty of non wind alternatives for the occasional day when the wind is not blowing or for non kiting companions. There are quad bike excursions, horse back riding on the shores of the Dakhla Lagoon, the popular fishing excursion on the lagoon or even a trip to visit the shops and sights in the city of Dakhla. Extreme Sports Cafe's partner Dakhla kite school can arrange horse riding, quad biking, surfing, fishing, SUP and even desert excursions for you. 

  • Stand Up Paddle - Dakhla offers some great spots for SUP. You can choose to cruise around the lagoon on the flat water, and if you are lucking you might share your session with some dolphins. Kitesurfing Morocco Kite Camp Dakhla Recommended for the more advanced surfers is SUP on the waves on the Ocean side.
  • Desert Excursions - See what Dakhla has to offer, 4x4 rental with a driver and guide, go and check out the beautiful White dune, have a thermal shower in ‘La Source’ a natural hot spring, check out the Oyster Farm and try the fantastic oysters that Dakhla is well known for, or go and check out some of the beaches on the Ocean side. Prices start from €15 per person. (personalised excursions to suit your needs also available)
  • Dakhla Surfing - Dakhla is not only a flat water lagoon there are also many great ocean wave spots located just 10 - 20 minutes drive from the Dakhla kitesurfing camp. Transfer to the Dakhla wave spot are €15 per person. (minimum 4 people) Surfboard rental €15 per day. The Dakhla surf spot is a great no wind alternative but also works extremely well as a kitesurf spot on windy days.

Kitesurfing Morocco Dakhla Kite Camp

Kite Boarding Certification - All Extreme Sports Cafe Kitesurfing / Kiteboarding courses follow the IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) assessment system. (unless stated otherwise) Our kitesurf instructors are IKO qualified and at the end of each course students will receive a kitesurfing IKO card with their achieved level. All the necessary kitesurfing equipment is provided for students (excluding food and drinks) and the kitesurf courses last between 4 and 5 hours per day depending on the wind conditions. Students are advised to wear a hat and apply sun-cream as they will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Students must be 16 years or older, although we can teach children under 16 to kitesurf, with their parent’s permission and presence.
