Extreme Sports Café’s partner Spain Kitesurfing School offers a complete range of kitesurfing courses from beginner courses to advanced kitesurfing lessons for kite boarders who are looking to improve on their skills.
Extreme Sports Cafe's partner Spain Kitesurfing School has got a fantastic local kite scene, that's not too crowded, is laid back and great fun! With its backdrop of the Pyrenees, sandy beaches and acres of natural parks, it’s the perfect setting for a Spain kitesurfing holiday you won't forget.
All our kitesurfing lessons take place in the Bay of Roses. This location offers thermal winds through out the summer and boasts sandy, spacious un-crowded beaches, making it one of the best places to learn to kitesurf in Europe. The main kiting beaches in the area are La Rubina beach, between Empuirabrava and St Margarita and at St Pere Pescador beach. Extreme Sports Cafe's partner Spain Kitesurfing School lessons take place at La Rubina beach.

Spain Kitesurfing Costa Brava - Kitesurfing Courses
Kitesurfing Costa Brava: 1-Day Kitesurfing Course
This kitesurfing course is the perfect introduction to Kitesurfing and will get you flying with a kite and cover all the required safety aspects. Kitesurfing course content will include:
- How to set up the kite
- Various types of kites
- Window of the wind
- Steering the kite in the power zone
- Quick release
- Wind effects
Kitesurfing Costa Brava: 2-Day Kitesurfing Course
After successful completion of this kitesurfing course you could be a L2 rider. Once you complete this intermediate kiteboarding program, you will be ready to continue to the next level of riding and become an independent kiteboarder. Kitesurfing course content will include:
- How to take off and land the kite
- Steering the kite in the power zone
- Body dragging - steering the kite and drag your body through the water
- Recuperation of the kite in the water
- Auto rescue
Kitesurfing Costa Brava: 4-Day Kitesurfing Course
This kite surfing course gets you to a level where you are able to practice kitesurfing with your own equipment in a safe way for you and others. This kitesurfing course includes everything from the 1 & 2 day courses and more. On this kiteboarding course, you will start riding on the board and become an independent kiteboarder. Kitesurfing course content will include:
- Practice and correction of exercises from previous courses
- Water starts - getting started from the water
- Independent practicing
- Feedbacks
IKO License €15.00
Kitesurfing Course prices Do Not include an IKO License, it is an optional extra. If you'd like an IKO License, this is not a problem and you'll just need to take a 30min Kite exam conducted by an IKO instructor.
Kitesurfing Costa Brava: Private Kitesurfing Coaching
One to One kitesurfing instruction for Intermediates. Perfect your skills, learn something specific or get some tips and practice them with one of our instructors.
Kitesurfing Costa Brava: 1 Hour Boat Lessons €50
Students can now have kitesurf lessons from the boat. Boat lessons includes, one boat, one instructor and one boat driver. Maximum 2 students on the boat at the same time. (If 2 persons then the price is split between the two)
Boat lessons can be taken on their own or added to the above kite courses. (Course price + €50 1hour Boat lesson)

Kitesurfing Costa Brava - Kitesurfing Notes
- Each student should bring swimming clothes, or a wetsuit in the colder months, a towel, sun protection and any other things they would normally take for a day at the beach.
- Maximum ratio for the kite surfing courses is 4 students per instructor.
- All group kitesurfing courses are 4 hours per day. In the unlikely event of one student per instructor the course hours are reduced to 3 hours per day.
- Kitesurfing Courses - All kitesurfing equipment needed for the lessons is provided including: Kite (2012 Best kahoona v4), Jacket, Harness & Helmet.

Kitesurfing Equipment Hire - Extreme Sports Café’s partner Spain Kitesurfing School, do not provide kite surfing equipment for general hire.
Please Note: The time it takes to finish a kite surfing course depends on the number of students per group, the weather/wind conditions and of course the individual skills of the student. 
The following times are no more than a mere indication of the time it takes an average student in good conditions.
- 1 student = 2 hours per day.
- 2 students = 2.5 to 3 hours per day.
- 3 students = 3.5 hours per day.
- 4 students = 4 hours per day.
If the group size and conditions permit 2 course days can be fitted into one. Experience has taught our Spain Kitesurfing School that this flexibility gives better results, less stress and a better kite surfing experience.
