3-Day Beginner Kitesurfing Course €300 Kitesurfing - Power Kite Course 3Hrs €100 This kitesurfing course will cover learning to fly a power kite. If you are thinking about snow kiting, landboarding, or kite buggying, this course will teach you the fundamentals that you will need to know. This is also the introductory class for learning to kitesurf. Kitesurfing Course covers assembling, tuning, line management, launching and landing, simulated board starts on land, safety and rider responsibility.
This 3 day kitesurfing course will take someone who knows nothing about kitesurfing to a level where they are safe to kitesurf on their own. This is the 3 beginner Kitesurfing lessons combined.
3-Hrs Power kite course for kitesurfing, 3-Hrs Kitesurfing first water course and 3-Hrs Kitesurfing board course.
Kitesurfing - First Water Course 3Hrs €110
After taking a kite surfing power kite class it is time for your first water course. Take your foundation skills of kite control and combine them with a harness and a larger more powerful kite. You will start with exciting body surfing exercises and learn how to get comfortable in the water while traveling upwind. Kitesurfing Course covers executing water re-launching of the kite, self-rescue, and practice the proper technique to perform your first exciting starts on the board.
Kitesurfing - Board Course 3Hrs €120
This kite surfing course focuses on getting onto the board and extending your ride. After completing the previous kitesurfing courses you will want to take this class in order to execute waterstarts in both directions and learn how to keep going with the board while controlling your speed. Kitesurf, body, board, and kite position in perfect harmony.
Kitesurfing Private Lesson 2Hrs €120
From beginners to expert’s private kite surfing lessons are tailored to fit your goals and skill level. They are also a great option if you consider yourself a fast learner or have extensive kite flying experience. Common kite surfing skills also taught include riding upwind, jumping and all tricks.
Kitesurfing Coaching/Safari 2Hrs
For the competent and fully independent riders we offer multiple kite trips towards some of the best kite beaches on the island and also boat assisted down-wind rides. The idea is for you to come along and ride with us under the supervision of an instructor who will provide complete kitesurfing equipment, advice and safety cover.
Kite surfing Safaris are ideal for the more advanced kitesurfer traveling without their kitesurfing equipment.
- All Kitesurfing equipment is provided for students.
- Kite sizes 8 to 14m average board size 135x35cm.
- Wetsuits: Unnecessary in the summer, 2mm shorty mid season, 4mm short sleeves in the winter.
* Please note that due to the questionable credibility of kite surfing certificates issued by various “kitesurfing organizations” and the extra cost involved for the students in order to obtain those so called certificates, Extreme Sports Cafe's partner Cyprus Kitesurfing Pro Center has decided to no longer issue any certificates from kite surfing organizations but issue their own certificates and free of charge.
Kitesurfing Equipment Rental
If you have a good kitesurfing experience and can sail upwind our partner Cyprus kitesurfing pro center offers a variety of quality kites and boards for rent.
Our kitesurfing equipment is replaced and updated regularly with a selection from SLINGSHOT, F-ONE, GUL and SKYWALKER.
For safety reasons all kitesurfers will be required to demonstrate good judgment and safe kite handling skills before rental is confirmed. - A day’s rental normally starts at 1.30pm when the sea breeze starts blowing.
- All kitesurfing equipment rentals are at the users responsibility.
Kitesurfing Courses - Booking and Payment Guidelines
- In order to avoid disappointment we advise customers to book at least 8 weeks in advance. This does not mean we cannot take late bookings, however in our experience rushed decisions can cause unnecessary problems. Before committing to any dates please contact us in order to check availability.
- Alternatively, when booking online you can give two other possible dates when you could attend the kitesurf course. This potential problem will be avoided if you book at least 8 weeks in advance.
- When you make the decision to book a kitesurfing course, a course deposit must be paid in order to secure your place. Having secured your place the remaining balance can then be paid when you get to Cyprus and visit our partner Cyprus Kitesurfing Pro Centre for the first time.

Kite Boarding Certification - All Extreme Sports Cafe Kitesurfing / Kiteboarding courses follow the IKO (International Kitesurfing Organization) assessment system. (unless stated otherwise) Our kitesurf instructors are IKO qualified and at the end of each course students will receive a kitesurfing IKO card with their achieved level. All the necessary kitesurfing equipment is provided for students (excluding food and drinks) and the kitesurf courses last between 4 and 5 hours per day depending on the wind conditions. Students are advised to wear a hat and apply sun-cream as they will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Students must be 16 years or older, although we can teach children under 16 to kitesurf, with their parent’s permission and presence.
